How to reduce Pollution ?

Pollution is increasing at a drastic rate near about 15 billion trees are cutted down in a year and 2 million tons of waste sewage and industrial water flows into the ocean and lakes directly Which cause water pollution. But today we will not focus on problem , but we will focus on solution.

What causes pollution ?

Pollution is caused due to many things like burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil, gasoline cause most of the air pollution and this also releases carbon monoxide, Which is a green house gas which traps heat inside earth atmosphere. This gas not only effect nature but it effects humans too it displaces oxygen in body and cause various problems.

Plastic which is made using Polymerisation process is one of the biggest threat to nature it not only does land pollution but it also does water pollution the plastic is eaten by many creatures like fish, turtles, cows and goat. It also pollutes land as it can't be degraded and lasts till 450 years to 1000 years and if it is burned it releases many harmful gases. It has also reached the deepest point of earth, marina trench and plastic has also reached in space and on moon too. Oil spills and chemical released by industries also does water pollution and land pollution simultaneously.

Till now we have told you what causes pollution but now we will tell you various ways to reduce pollution. The ways which we are gonna tell you are some steps towards clean future, so lets start.

Make your Eco bricks

In this world full of plastic there is a hope of making something unique out of it. Some creative minds have started to make eco bricks. Eco bricks are nothing but a water bottle full of tightly packed plastic. They can be used for various purpose like making furniture, garden walls and some people also use them for making house wall.

You can also make eco bricks by following the steps given below -

• First take a water bottle or any plastic bottle.
• Take some plastic wrapper clean them and make them dry.
• Then put all plastic wrapper one by one in the plastic bottle slowly and tightly.
• Then push the plastic inside the bottle until it all get tightly packed.

Wow ! your Eco brick is ready you can make many eco bricks and use them for making furniture or you can donate them to some organization like Ecobrick Exchange they will use that eco bricks and make something unique and also protect environment.

Follow the Three R's

To save the nature and environment we should also follow the three R's. The three R's are 

• Reduce - We should reduce the use of plastic, fossil fuels and use other alternatives like cloth bags, paper bags. We should focus on concepts like electric and solar powered cars.
• Recycle - Instead of throwing plastic waste we could just recycle them into something innovative like flower pots can be made out of plastic bottle plastic bags can be converted into eco bricks and there are many ideas of recycling on google you can just search them.
• Reuse - We can reuse plastic bags and instead of taking a new plastic bag from seller we could use the same plastic bags again and again. Plastic bottles could also be cleaned and then again reused for any purpose.

Stop buying water bottles

Each year, 20 million plastic bottles are thrown away. Instead of buying  water from shop while traveling we could carry our own water bottle which can be reused unlimited times. You can also fill the water from any hotel or restaurants. This way we could save our money and environment simultaneously.

Stop using single use plastic

We produce around 300 million tons of plastic each year out of which half is single used plastic. So instead of using single used plastic products like water bottles, plastic bags, straws, cups and utensils we could carry our own water bottles, plastic bags, straws, cups and utensils which could be reused multiple times.

Use Public transport

Many people use their own vehicles. Which is useful in this covid situation but it is not good for environment as due to many vehicles traffic jam occurs and much air pollution is done by so many cars. But instead if we use public transport and use car pooling in less fuel many people can travel. If 50 people want to travel simultaneously and use public transport we can save much fuel and reduce pollution than the 50 people who will use 50 different vehicle which will use more fuel.

Plant trees

Now, this way which we are telling you is the best way to reduce pollution and it is Planting trees as due to plantation amount of oxygen increases and carbon dioxide level decreases which reduces air pollution. If we plant only one tree once a year and water it daily we could grow many trees in few years only. And we also receive many fruits and vegetables and fresh oxygen also from them.
